There are three phases of information needed for publicity and program information in preparation for the OHEHS Hall of Fame Banquet and Induction Ceremony. Send the following information through email to drichardson@ou.edu
Phase 1: June 2-5, 2026
- A professional headshot 3” X 5” or 5” X 7” photograph in an email attachment to drichardson@ou.edu with a scan of at least 500 dpi resolution and in a JPG format.
- In the email, write your name as you want it to appear on your medallion and certificate. These will vary by choice.
- Send updated contact information, including home address, email, and preferred telephone number to drichardson@ou.edu
- Send a short two-to three-sentence statement of your last or current position at an Oklahoma College, University, or higher education affiliate. This statement will be used in the first Press Release.
- If you have a preferred local news outlet, then include the local newspaper(s) with contact information and a preferred email address for publicity.
Phase 2: June 10 -15, 2026
- A professional bio limited to three hundred (300) words with the preferred name spelling and a list of earned degrees and institutions (Ex, B.S., Southwestern Oklahoma State University; M.Ed., University of Oklahoma; Ed.D., East Texas State University) to be included in the program. Send as an attachment in an email to drichardson@ou.edu
- Your professional photo and bio will be used statewide for publicity about the OHEHS Hall of Fame.
Phase 3: July 5-6, 2026
- Send 10-12 photos depicting childhood, family activities, organizations, and career in an attachment to an email to: drichardson@ou.edu. These photos can be individually scanned snapshots.
- A list of names and addresses (optional telephone numbers and email addresses) of individuals that you would like to invite to the ceremony (this is a wonderful way to inform individuals of your honor, whether they will be able to attend or not). Past inductees have invited 15-200 people to share in this recognition. I will send an Excel spreadsheet with formatting for the invitees in June.
- Your Excel spreadsheet, which includes titles, names, addresses, and preferred email addresses, will be used to send out invitations to friends, colleagues, and family members.’
The November 2, 2026, evening event is
- Formal (Black tie and formal attire are optional) or business dress is acceptable. For women, a formal black dress, a formal evening gown, or a favorite dress is appropriate.
- Please arrive at the Nigh University Center at UCO in Edmond by 5:15 p.m. to meet your OHEHS board member host for the induction orientation, which will be held in the Heritage Room and begin at 5:30 p.m.
- A group photo of Inductees will be taken in the Heritage Room after the orientation.
- A group photo will be taken of the Board of Directors in the Heritage Room after the Inductees.
- After having your photo made with the other Inductees, proceed to Social Hour in the UCO Night Center hallway. There will be a limited time to visit with a few individuals during the Social Hour as you move from the Heritage Room to the Grand Ballroom across the hall. Dinner will begin promptly at 6:30 p.m.
- If you have not received the information in advance, please check in at the registration table for your assigned table. Each inductee’s table will be assigned by mid-October in the first or second row for ease of walking to the stage. A Board member will be at each end of the stage to guide you onto the stage. If you need additional assistance, let me know in advance. Each inductee will have one table at a discounted cost of $800.00.
- Additional tables purchased to support and honor Inductees by university foundations, presidents, departments, family members, or friends will be assigned in the final week of October. Inductee table(s) supporting the Inductees will be placed as close as possible. Each table seats 10 people and costs $ 1,000.00.
- After receiving your medallion and certificate, you will have a photo taken with the OHEHS President, OSRHE Chancellor, and OSRHE Chair. Details will be explained during the orientation.
- After the banquet, the induction ceremony will begin. Bob Burke will read your professional bio as you move to the stage. Once on the stage, the medallion and certificate will be presented. The photograph will follow.
