Wilton T. Anderson
Wilton T. Anderson was professor and head of the School of Accounting at Oklahoma State University for twenty-two years, beginning in 1960. His colleagues called him an “accounting evangelist.” He served as president of the American Accounting Association, and was recognized by that body with an “Outstanding Educator Award” in 1973. He was an organizer of the Oklahoma Accounting Educators Association. OSU alumni and friends established and endowed the Wilton T. Anderson Distinguished Graduate Fellowship and the Wilton T. Anderson Professorship in Accounting. Anderson was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 1999.
