Russell V. Conway
Russell V. Conway was hired in 1969 as Director of High School and College Relations at Oklahoma State University. During his eighteen years at OSU, Conway introduced orientation and recruitment programs that became models for many other colleges. In 1985, he received the Higher Education Alumni Council award for extraordinary service to Oklahoma higher education. In that same year, the Oklahoma College Public Relations Council gave him its “Professional Performance Award for Extraordinary Service,” and in 1988, the OSU Alumni Association voted to give him their Alumni Association Service Award. Conway was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2001.
