Larry Wayne Nutter
Dr. Larry Wayne Nutter’s higher education career spanned 1967 to 2000, beginning as professor of English at Central State University. In 1971 he joined Oscar Rose Junior College, now Rose State College as Chairman of the Division of Humanities and Social Sciences. Two years later he was named Executive Assistant to the President. In 1986 Dr. Nutter was identified by the Rose State College Board of Regents as an individual who, as president, could bring integrity and stability back to Rose State College. In a relatively short time, Dr. Nutter influenced restoration of the reputation of the College, restoration of the highest integrity and stability to financial affairs, and trust and confidence in the College Administration by the faculty, staff, and community. In 2000, the Rose State College Board of Regents named the administration building of Rose State College the "Larry W. Nutter Administration Building."
