Kenneth A. McCollom
Kenneth A. McCollom was appointed to the faculty of Oklahoma State University in 1964, after a career in R&D with the Phillips Petroleum Company and the Atomic Energy Commission. He served as assistant director for Instruction during 1968-73, and was dean of the College of Engineering, Architecture and Technology from 1964 to 1986. McCollom was an innovator, and chaired many national engineering and atomic energy research groups. He served as chairman of the Oklahoma Board of Registration for Licensing of Professional Engineers and Land Surveyors, which named him “Oklahoma’s Outstanding Engineer in 1990. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2001.
