Juanita Granger Millsap
Juanita Granger Millsap received a B.S. in Nursing from Battle Creek College in Michigan in 1938 and studied graduate nursing at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. She earned an M.A. in Sociology from the University of Oklahoma in 1967. In 1955 Millsap joined the nursing faculty at Oklahoma Baptist University, where Oklahoma’s first four-year baccalaureate nursing program was offered. She became dean of Nursing in 1975. During her career, Millsap served as a hospital nurse, nursing extension director, director of nursing service in hospitals and clinics, and dean of nursing education. Millsap retired from OBU’s School of Nursing in 1985. She was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2000.
