Jerome Weber
Jerome C. (Jerry) Weber came to the University of Oklahoma in 1964 as a faculty member in Health and Sports Sciences. During four decades at OU, he served as faculty member, department chair, assistant dean, dean, and vice provost. As dean of University College, he was responsible for all lower-division students and their preparation programs. He designed the original Undergraduate Research Opportunity Program. Deeply involved in State System policy making, he led in the development of differential standards for admission, retention, and graduation at each tier level of the system. Weber was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2005.
