- Glenn Snider
Glenn Snider
Glenn Snider joined the faculty at the University of Oklahoma in 1954 as professor of Secondary Education, following five years at Southwestern Oklahoma State University as chair of the Department of Education. He was director of Teacher Education at OU from 1955 to 1960. He was given the rank of Regents Professor in 1971, a title he held until he retired in 1980 as Professor Emeritus. He was a mentor to dozens of Oklahoma secondary principals. Given the title of “Mr. Human Relations” by the Oklahoma Education Association, Snider was recognized for his advocacy of the rights and responsibilities of educators. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 1998. Snider is now deceased.
