Eric J. Williams
Eric J. Williams became an instructor in large animal medicine and surgery at Oklahoma State University in 1962. He graduated from the Royal Veterinary College in London and practiced veterinary medicine in his native Wales before emigrating to the United States in 1961. He served as a professor at the OSU College of Veterinary Medicine for more than two decades, and beginning in 1974, also directed Student and Alumni Affairs for the college. A decorated teacher in bovine medicine and surgery, Williams hosted an OETA television show, “Oklahoma Veterinarian,” in conjunction with James Herriot’s “All Creatures Great and Small.” He retired from OSU in 1988, and was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 1998.
