Bailey B. McBride
Bailey B. McBride joined the English faculty of Central Christian College in 1956, a predecessor of Oklahoma Christian University. For a half-century, he served in nearly every academic capacity at the college, including Professor in 1969, Academic Dean in 1971, Vice-President for Academic Affairs in 1990, Provost in 1994, Director of the Honors program and back to teaching in 1996. Additionally, he was founding editor of The Christian Chronicle, an international newspaper for members of the Church of Christ. McBride made a notable contribution to Oklahoma higher education as a versatile and dedicated scholar at Oklahoma Christian University. He was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 2004.
