E. T. Dunlap

E. T. Dunlap was appointed chancellor of the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education in 1961, and served in that position for two decades, retiring in 1982. Dunlap was president of Eastern Oklahoma State College from 1952 to 1961. Earlier, he was an administrator in the Oklahoma public schools and a member of the State House of Representatives. His accomplishments as chancellor included the establishment of the state’s community college system, the creation of the Oklahoma Talkback Television System, and the development of the health sciences center in Oklahoma City. He became a member of the Oklahoma Hall of Fame in 1981, and was inducted into the Oklahoma Higher Education Hall of Fame in 1994.
